If every cell contains within itself the structure of the entire body, or the universe... I think of the power of hands and the worlds they can create. Expanding in all directions, beyond the skin.
In this second workshop of THE THEORY OF WATER, held today, September 19th, at Largo de O Século (Bairro Alto, Lisbon), we sculpted absent people, embraced them silently, took their imaginary hands, and let ourselves be carried by the flow of these memories. We drew the veins and paths of water on the stones. We searched for the millisecond during which inhalation transforms into exhalation: reversal, change of direction. Suspending infinity. And allowing the body to melt into the floor. Today in STATE OF POETRY with Chico César.
Next Friday, we continue flowing and suspending.
THE THEORY OF WATER is a series of six creative workshops culminating in a live, site-specific installation. This project takes place within the context of the #Pedras2025 festival, THE GESTURE THAT LOVE POWERS, organized by CEM Centro em Movimento, Lisbon.
Workshops: Fridays from September 12th to October 17th, from 10 am to 12 pm. From Chafariz Street to Rua De O Século.
